Personal data is detected automatically and swapped for tags like [PERSON_1] and [IBAN_1]. The secret mapping is sealed in the on-prem vault — which is why the result is pseudonymised, not anonymous, data.

What leaves here is the placeholder version; the originals stay in the vault. Check it before you share it, including before you paste it into an external AI tool — a value the detection missed is still in the text.

Bring the processed document back here and the originals are put back in place — with a report proving every placeholder was matched.
